CONSERVATION AT HOME® ~ the sustainable yard ~ Our Mission The “sustainable yard,” is an eco-friendly alternative to the traditional yard. Whether you have five acres or a patch of yard, you can naturalize some or all of your land, and address some of the common challenges homeowners face today. Issues such as soil erosion, chronic wet areas, chemical use, heavy water consumption, and the absence of wildlife diversity can be improved. Through our sustainable yard, individuals will see and learn how a few simple changes, like water conservation/harvesting, native plantings, composting, and alternative energy sources can create beauty, wildlife habitat, time, and cost savings. We will show you how easy making the change to a more eco-friendly yard can be, give you the tools to do it, and the resources to support your success. Large or small, Conservation at Home®, through the sustainable yard, is a great step towards the true “greening” of your yard.
